Water Orders must be placed in CFS. LVID will tally water usage by the acre-foot. 1cfs = 2 ac. ft.
Water orders can be made from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Example Water Order: A typical 1/4 mile wheel line will need 1/2 cfs (225 gl/minute). This usage will be calculated as 1 acre foot for a 24 hour period.
Water Usage Example: A landowner with 100 acres has a season total allotment of 300 acre-feet (100 acres x 3 acre- feet). If you order 3 cfs for a 24 hour period (6 acre - feet) on 100 acres, you can irrigate or a total of 50 days. At 50 days you will reach your 300 acre-feet alloment (6 acre-feet/day x 50 days= 300 acre-feet).
